The Year of Faith begins on 11th October 2012 and continues until the Feast of Christ the King 2013.  It is an opportunity for us to rediscover our own faith and what it means to be catholic.

St. Maria Goretti is a parish of the Diocese of Lancaster, England.

We are a Catholic community in the Ribbleton area of Preston, Lancashire, England.

Together we pray, worship, care for each other and the people of our area.

Our church is dedicated to St. Maria Goretti who was canonised just before the founding of our parish in 1954.

Our Parish Priest is Fr Pawel Szatlewski appointed by Bishop Michael Campbell in October 2012. He is also responsible for the pastoral care of the Polish Community in the Preston area.

Fr Pawel is a Priest from the Archdiocese of Czestochowa. Before coming to Preston he has served in the Archdiocese of Birmingham at Stoke-on-Trent.

Fr Feliks Sciborski is in the process of moving to his new parish in the Diocese of Basle, Switzerland.
